My name is Richard “Todd” Rentz and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintaining a private practice in Honolulu, Hawaii.

By combining Jungian principles with an integrative systems approach of Intergenerational, Experiential and Post-Modern techniques, together, we will assess attachment history, life cycles, family of origin and patterns of development and extinction to co-create a specialized treatment plan that is unique to you, your partner and your family.

With over 15 years of experience in human development, and as a graduate of Argosy University Hawaii specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. My expertise includes individual and group counseling, grief and loss issues, life coaching, crisis intervention, identification and reporting abuse, mental and emotional disorders, child behavior and development, interpersonal relationships, substance dependency, the ability to maximize workplace mental health in stressful work conditions and client confidentiality.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented at various organizations, events and to general audiences speaking on the following topics: Active Listening, Effective Communication, Effective Assessment Techniques, Chemical Dependency, Understanding Sexual Dysfunction, Reframing: A Technique to Change the Mindset, Building and Fostering Healthy Relationships.

I consider myself is an interactive, collaborative therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to support clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
